A NEW WOMEN'S HEALTH VENTURE
A NEW WOMEN'S HEALTH VENTURE
In 2020, Dr. Onyinye Balogun, a world-renowned Radiation Oncologist, saved then-Google executive, Eve McDavid's life.
From insights sparked together during treatment, they've now teamed up to help women everywhere.
Mission-Driven Tech™ is a new women's health venture in collaboration with Weill Cornell Medicine
revolutionizing gynecologic cancer care for women & physicians.
Pre-seed funding to develop and commercialize a novel Brachytherapy care solution.
Brachytherapy, powerful internal radiation procedures that cure cervical cancer, is administered with dated medical devices from the 1970s, before women's inclusion in clinical trials. These ill-fitting, rigid devices produce intolerable patient experiences, devastating side-effects and diminished patient outcomes.
Women & physicians deserve the safest treatment to cure cervical cancer. Brachytherapy devices should be designed to properly fit a women's anatomy with insertion & removal ease, allowing physicians to administer safer, more effective treatment with improved physical, sexual & mental health outcomes.
We're designing novel hardware & software care solutions that reflect the best of modern technology. A new, patient-centric device design paired with digital tools to support patients and providers will standardize care, improve outcomes and expand access to care.
